Vans Vault Spring 2009 - Sk8-Hi LX & Authentic LX

Vans has just presented their Messenger Pack from the Vault Spring 2009 Collection which consists of the Sk8-Hi LX and Authentic LX using what is assumed to be eco-friendly materials and packaging from the recylcing sign on the solid brown box. Making up the Messenger Pack are three different color schemes, olive, red/blue and red/brown. However, only the brown/red Authentic LX is pictured, its Sk8-Hi LX counterpart is also available. Look for the Vault Spring 2009 sneakers now at retailers.

Greedy Genius ‘JLED Finders Keepers’ Customs

We would like to present what we believe is the first pair of Greedy Genius custom sneakers ever to be featured within the pages on Sneaker Obsession. The design comes from YoaKustoms who designed a pair of Greedy Genius sneakers inspired by the JLED Finders Keepers Series released by KidRobot.

YoaKustoms started by covering a pair of Greedy Genius kicks in all black. From there characters from the JLED Finders Keppers series were hand painted onto the upper, including characters such as Gloober, KittyPilla, Dizzy, Dera, Thrash and the rest. Also mixed in with the characters is a few blue stars. YoaKustoms even went as far as hand painting the two insoles and custom painting a Dunny a match the custom sneakers.

Kanye West x Louis Vuitton - Mr. Hudson

Thanks to BKRW we have some clear shots showing off the boat shoes which are part of the Kanye West x Louis Vuitton Collection. Known as the Mr. Hudson these low top boat shoes will be available in two color schemes; white and grey/brown/pink. The white pair  is constructed from premium white leather while the other Mr. Hudson is made up from a grey suede and brown suede upper with a pink sole unit. Both feature Louis Vuitton branding on the heel of the rubberized sole and tassle style laces with the LV logo on the tongue tag.

The Mr. Hudson will be the cheapest model in the Kanye West x Louis Vuitton Collection retailing at a price of $840. Watch for these boat shoes and the rest of the collection to his select Louis Vuitton retailers in June.

Good news folks, the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 has started to arrive at retailers, atleast one of the colorways that is. The Black/White/Fresh Water Air Griffey Max 1 Retro is one of the two upcoming Air Griffey Max 1 releases we have caught a preview of so far, the other being the Air Griffey Max 1 - Varsity Royal / White which will release in May. This has got to be one of the most talked about upcoming Retros coming from Nike this year so far, so dont sleep on these folks. Pick em up now to hold you over until the release of the Varsity Royal Air Griffey Max 1. Im thinking about picking up two pairs myself, one to rock and the other to stock.

Nike Air Trainer Huarache New Colorways

Nike Trainers seem to be making a big push this year, with that said, a couple new colorways of the Air Trainer Huarache are helping that movement as we speak.

The Nike Air Trainer Huarache features all the early 90’s iconic stylings from Nike. The huarache inner sock liner, the Velcro strap across the midfoot. The Stealth Grey colorway features Black and Sapphire Blue accents, while the Black make-up features white contrasting stitching and a yellow logo on the heel.

First off, lets us just say breath. We know some of you Jordan fans out there must be going crazy seeing the previews of upcoming Air Jordan V Retros such as the Red Suede Air Jordan V and the Black 3M Air Jordan V both of which are part of the Defining Moments Pack II.

Another Air Jordan 5 Retro which will be releasing later this year are these lovely puppies seen above. This version of the Air Jordan V uses a White patent leather upper with a Dark Army midsole and a Brown tongue with the Jumpman tongue in Yellow. Yellow is also used on the translucent outsole and for the stitching on the front of the mid-sole while Black is used for the 23 on the side of the upper and for the Jumpman logo on the heel. A green, orange and brown camoflauge pattern finishes up the sneakers on the inner sole.

No official release date is available at this time for the White Patent Leather Air Jordan V but you can cop yourself a pair now early at MarqueeSole.

 

Release Info: Air Jordan ‘Raging Bull’ Defining Moments Pack II (DMP2)

I just got an email from the gang over at Dipt with an update about some of their new releases and upcoming releases. Among some of the products on the upcoming release list was the Air Jordan Raging Bull Defining Moments Pack 2. As we have already seen the Raging Bull DMP 2 contains the Red Suede Air Jordan V and the Black 3M Air Jordan V.

According to DIPT and what was included in their email the Raging Bull Defining Moments Pack will release in their shop on May 16th. Now if this is an early release or an official release im not to sure, some say an official release is set for May 20th but i have yet to hear that from a shop owner. The Dipt release info is the most concrete i have seen thusfar.

Nike Air Digs Womens Retro

Nike hits up the retro vault for the ladies with the Miami Vice colored Nike Womens Air Digs retro that would make Sonny and Crockett proud.

The Air Digs may look Miami styled as far as color goes, but it’s more performance oriented than Gabby Reece on court. The early 90’s styling inspiration, of other classics like the Air Trainer, is easily recognizable on these volleyball kicks. The mesh paneling has that throwback feel, and on top of that the indoor court performance is maximized with the gum sole treatment.

Even Gabby Reece in her on court heydays would agree these may be called digs, but these kicks definitely kill.
